About Food Token
Food Token is a prepaid program that lets you turn stablecoins and other supported crypto into Food Token — a store of prepaid value that you redeem for gift cards to our affiliated restaurants and merchants. Load once, then spend on the brands you love.
How Food Token works
Fund your account with a supported payment method. Each dollar of value you load becomes one Food Token held in your account balance.
Browse gift cards from our affiliated brands and pick one. A typical card is ¤25 in value; promotional discounts may reduce the number of Food Tokens required.
Your Food Tokens are exchanged for the gift card, which you use at the affiliated merchant. That's it — no fees to hold your balance.
Closed-loop prepaid access
Food Token is designed and operated as closed-loop prepaid access. That means your balance can only be used within the Food Token program to obtain gift cards for our affiliated entities. It is not a general-purpose payment device, a bank deposit, a money-transmission service, or a form of investment.
Because Food Token can be redeemed solely for goods and services from affiliated merchants — and never for cash or for access to funds outside the program — it functions as a closed-loop stored-value product rather than open-loop, network-branded prepaid access.
What you can & can't do
- Buy Food Token with supported payment methods.
- Redeem Food Token for gift cards to affiliated entities.
- Hold your Food Token balance in your account for later use.
- Transfer Food Token to another person or account.
- Redeem Food Token for cash, credit, or a cash refund.
- Redeem Food Token for anything other than affiliated-entity gift cards.
- Resell, assign, or use Food Token as collateral or a payment instrument outside the program.
Food Token has no cash value except where refund of an unused balance is required by applicable law. It does not earn interest, is not insured by the FDIC or any government agency, and is not a deposit or obligation of any bank. Purchases of Food Token are generally final and non-refundable except as required by law.
Liability & disclaimers
Program provided "as is." Food Token, the website, and all related services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
Affiliated merchants and gift cards. Gift cards are issued by, and redeemable at, the applicable affiliated entities and are subject to those entities' own terms, conditions, and expiration or usage policies. Food Token is not responsible for the products, services, availability, honoring, or acts or omissions of any affiliated merchant, or for any gift card once it has been issued to you. Trademarks and brand names are the property of their respective owners and their use does not imply endorsement.
Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Food Token and its owners, operators, officers, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or funds, arising out of or relating to your purchase or use of Food Token — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the Food Token value of the transaction giving rise to the claim.
Digital-asset payments. Payments made with cryptocurrencies or stablecoins are irreversible and are converted to Food Token value at the time of loading. Food Token is denominated in program value, not in any cryptocurrency, and does not track the market price of any digital asset. You are responsible for sending the correct asset on the correct network; funds sent incorrectly may not be recoverable.
Assumption of risk. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. By purchasing or using Food Token you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these terms.
